ATS and Broadband National Team Up To Offer VoIP

American Telecom Services and Broadband National
Team Up to Offer Consumers Easy Access Internet Services

City of Industry, California, November XX, 2006—American Telecom Services (AMEX: TES), a leading provider of expandable home phone systems that are sold bundled with phone services that save consumers up to $500 a year on their phone bills, has signed an agreement with Broadband National, the largest aggregator of broadband service offerings in the country. The agreement enables the two companies to offer consumers a “one-box solution” of high-speed Internet services from the leading brands in America bundled with VoIP services that are configured in the largest line of cordless multi-handset Internet phones in the industry. For the first time in a single packaged bundle, retailers will be able to offer a bundled VoIP/phone solution with broadband access, saving their customers hundreds of dollars a year through this combination.

“American Telecom Services wants consumers to be able to take advantage of the benefits and savings of Internet calling,” said American Telecom Services CEO Bruce Hahn. “Our arrangement with Broadband National contributes to this by offering every eligible retail customer who currently has no service or only dial-up access the option of purchasing high speed services from the broadband provider of their choice. When consumers buy our cordless Internet phones bundled with Internet phone service at retail, there will be an insert in every package with web and toll-free access to order from most major high speed brands, giving them a ‘one box solution’ to save money on their home phone services if they do not already have the required broadband service needed for Internet telephone service.”

“We believe,” Hahn added, “that through this offering, many consumers will realize that the combination of broadband Internet and Internet phone service will save them hundreds of dollars each year compared to dial-up Internet and traditional phone service. In the end, they will not only have a faster Internet connection for data, but also far more calling features than they ever had before with their new Internet telephone service.”

Broadband National is a marketplace for consumers to shop for available cable and DSL services from nearly 40 service providers, including Comcast, Verizon, Qwest, Time Warner Cable, AT&T and many other national and regional providers.

When consumers purchase an American Telecom Services branded Internet phone, they will be directed to a specially branded, private label Broadband National Web site where they will be able to choose from the broadband providers that are available where they live. They can also sign up through a dedicated toll-free number. From the Web site or over the phone, consumers will be able to compare plans, pricing and features for the services available in their area.

Because Internet calling is still a relatively new technology, consumers are sometimes confused about how they can take advantage of it, especially if they don’t already subscribe to broadband service. But with this new bundled offer from American Telecom and Broadband National, the shopping experience is simplified allowing consumers to make one purchase and quickly begin to enjoy feature-rich calling at prices far less than traditional phone services and benefit from faster Internet speeds through their new broadband Internet connection.

American Telecom will make the Broadband National service available with the purchase of a variety of Internet phones. In return, American Telecom Services will receive a fee from Broadband National for each service account that is activated and will share a portion of those revenues with their retail partners. From a retailer’s perspective, the combination of profit on the Internet phones, service fees and residual income from VoIP services plus the service fees for broadband service activation, makes ATS’ Internet phones one of the most profitable bundled solutions for Internet calling for retailers in America.

About American Telecom Services:

American Telecom Services, a leading provider of traditional and internet phones bundled with service offerings, currently offers Digital Clear Internet phone bundles powered by SunRocket (voice-over-Internet-Protocol or “VoIP”) and Pay N’ Talk prepaid residential long distance communications services powered by IDT. These services are bundled with ATS’ diverse line of custom designed digital, cordless, multi-handset phones. ATS sells its phone/service bundles through major retailers under the “American Telecom,” “ATS,” “Pay N’ Talk” and “Digital Clear” brand names.

Get The Most From Your MP3 Music Files

Invented in Europe MP3 technology, which stands for MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, is a popular digital encoding format that greatly reduces the amount of data needed for an accurate reproduction of many different types of audio, music being the most popular.

The MP3 movement is one of the most amazing phenomena that the music industry has ever seen. And it all started with a massive audience of music lovers on the Internet. Considered the next generation in audio technology, the MP3 format will continue to have, an enormous impact on how people collect, listen to and distribute music.

Get Started Today

Knowing how the MP3 format works isn't half as interesting as using it. The MP3 format and the Internets ability to promote and distribute MP3 files -- has done several things for music:

• It has made it easy for anyone to distribute music inexpensively.
• It has made it easy for anyone to find music and access it instantly.
• It has taught people a great deal about manipulating sound on a computer.

The third bullet point was unintentional yet significant. A large component of the MP3 movement is the fact that it has brought an assortment of unique applications to personal computers and given individuals the ability to discover how the technology works. Below are just a few of the things that this technology allows you to do:

• Download MP3 files from the Internet and play them on or PC.
• Store hundreds if not thousands of MP3 files on CDs and MP3 players.
• Rip (Copy) a song from your music collection into MP3 format and transfer it to your PC.
• Create custom play lists for different types of activities, such as jogging or relaxing.
• Transfer MP3 files onto small, portable MP3 players.
• Record an original song and convert it to an MP3 file.
• Copy MP3 files onto CDs and create your own music library.
• Add MP3 music files to your personal web pages

All that’s needed to achieve these exciting things is a computer with a sound card, a high-speed Internet connection, a CD Drive, and an MP3 Player. Chances are if you’ve purchased a computer in the last two or three years you already have most of this equipment.

Taking the Files With You
The creation of tiny portable MP3 players, such as the Apple iPod has catapulted the proliferation of MP3 downloads across the Internet. Players plug directly into your computer's parallel, FireWire or USB port allowing you to drag and drop music files directly to your MP3 player. Many of today’s players hold up to 20,000 songs, up to 25,000 photos, and up to 100 hours of video — or any combination of each.

It’s now commonplace to see individuals with MP3 players in your local gym, the mall, on public transportation, parks and even in the workplace enjoying their favorite types of music. Millions of songs are downloaded from hundreds of different websites on a daily basis. It has literally changed the way the music industry operates.

This trend in MP3 players has not gone unnoticed by the world’s automobile and truck manufacturers. Many companies such as GM, Ford, BMW, Honda, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Acura, Infinity and Peterbilt have all embraced this technology, allowing you to plug your player directly into your vehicles sound system. Thus giving you access to exactly the type of music you want. Don’t have a new car and still want to take your music with you? No problem. Companies such as Harman/Kardon, Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood have adaptors that fit any type of vehicle.

Get In Sync

With the advent of the new generation docking stations on the market you now have the ability to sync-up your MP3 player to your homes audio system. Players can also be purchased with custom speakers as a standalone Hi-fi system, putting your music at your fingertips not in those numerous and bulky CD cases.

Broadband National, the leading online marketing company that promotes digital services in the U.S., has announced it’s newest offer of bundled digital services also known as “The Triple Play.” The offer combines VoIP or digital voice products, high-speed Internet connectivity, and digital television.

“Traditionally the three technologies have been kept separate, each with its own dedicated line. It also allows you to watch regular or on-demand videos, play games, and chat with your friends all at the same time.

Bundled services have the ability to turn your living room into the entertainment and communications center of your entire house. You’re able to make inexpensive phone calls to family or friends, and talk to them face-to-face using your digital voice phone. Enjoy Broadband TV and videos online, it's easy!

Videos downloads have become equally as popular as music downloads over the Internet. Hundreds of websites now offer thousands upon thousands of videos for viewing on your personal computer and many handheld devices.

Websites offer thousands of full-length, enthusiast, educational, and instructional videos spanning almost every category imaginable, such as action sports, home improvement, martial arts & self defense, music, sports, travel, and much more. Be sure to check if the site guarantees that their video downloads are safe and legal. Many of these videos cannot normally be found at your local video rental store.

It's Fast And Easy
Downloading videos is fast and easy. With the click of a button and a short download if you have a broadband connection from a company such as Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, Time Warner or Covad and the video is complete, and it will play automatically.

You may have to update your Windows Media player or QuickTime application during the download process, but that's rare. If you do receive these on-screen prompts, follow the simple directions, and your downloading process will continue.

Get Video Through The Mail
Many of us still like to receive a DVD or VHS to view, and that again is not a problem on many websites. Normally you will receive your order in the mail in about 7 to 10 days. But by far the easiest way to receive them is by downloading them. If you're a little hesitant some websites offer step-by-step instructions for the novice computer user. Many websites offer free 1-week trials starting as low as $1.99, and monthly access for only $9.95.

This allows you to download as many videos as you want each month. You can even download up to six titles at a time and there is no limit to the number of titles you can have active at any given time.

The benefits of subscribing to a video website?

As a subscriber, you have unlimited access to thousands of videos.

Monthly fees are less than half of the cost of a typical DVD.

You can download what you want, whenever you want.

You have 24/7 access.

Do it fast and easy from the comfort of your home.

Save A Bundle With Bundled Digital Services

If you haven’t heard of the term “Bundled Services” yet, you soon will. Bundled services is the term used when telephone (VoIP), high-speed Internet, and digital television services are provided to consumers over a single broadband connection.

The three have generally been separate, each with its own dedicated line. However faster Internet connections, and the proliferation of digital media have brought them together. This enables users to surf the web, and receive email through a single line. It also allows you to watch regular or on-demand videos, play games, and chat with your friends all at the same time.

How does it work?
For local telephone companies, Bundled Services is delivered using a combination of fiber optics, and digital subscriber line (DSL) technologies to residential households. Cable companies use their existing cable lines as their delivery method for these services, along with a standard set-top-box.

The Benefits of Bundled Services
The convergence of these technologies also provides the convenience of receiving a single bill and discounts by getting all your communications services from one source. Not to mention tremendous cost savings associated with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Most companies offering a flat monthly fee typically $19.95 to $25.00 with the majority of the features already built-in. This monthly fee includes unlimited calls throughout the United States and Canada.

These Services also offer other exciting features that will turn your living room into the entertainment and communications center of your entire house. You’ll be able to make inexpensive phone calls to family, and friends and talk to them face-to-face using your digital phone – or even from your PC. Downloading your choice of feature films or music and streaming them to any room in the home can be as simple as pressing a button.

A Proven Concept
Similar to Bundled Services the financial industry established what’s referred to as Debt Consolidation. Contrary to popular belief Debt Consolidation is not simply a loan. It’s a method of restructuring an individual’s debt with new and innovative conditions and terms. This system assists individuals in reducing their interest rates, reduce credit card balances, and even erase financial charges. The individual enters into an agreement allowing repayment of previous debts at a lower interest rate. Often times considerably lower.

This method helps to reduce total outstanding balance, trims down rates of interest, and can erase financial charges. Hence the consumer enters into a new agreement that enables repayment of the older debt with lower monthly installments.

Types Of Unsecured Debt Covered By Debt Consolidation
Credit Cards Bills
Medical Bills
Store Cards
Gas Cards
Utility Bills
Personal Loans

VoIP Moves From The Office To The Home

Technology Has Many Benefits for Consumers

By Michael Brito
With the current explosion of VoIP (Voice over Internet protocol) in the business world, it’s not surprising that many people in the U.S. are making the switch to VoIP for their home phone. The technology works by routing voice conversations over the Internet via IP networks. VoIP does not use traditional phone lines, but instead uses packet switched networks that do the same thing, but more efficiently and for less money.

This technology has many benefits for consumers and businesses. Below is a list of just some of the benefits that will help you decide if VoIP is right for you!

Feature Rich And Less Expensive
An examination of your current phone bill will reveal additional charges over and above the basic phone service. Call waiting, caller id, voicemail, call forwarding and other features are options requiring additional fees. Add long distance charges and applicable taxes and the typical phone bill can quickly approach $75 to $100 dollars.

VoIP providers offer many different pricing plans. The most popular being a flat rate fee typically $19.95 to $25.00 per month with the majority of the features built-in. This monthly fee also includes unlimited calls throughout the United States and Canada.

VoIP is Portable
Because VoIP is connected to a high-speed Internet connection and not the traditional phone lines, it becomes almost as portable as a cell phone. Essentially, consumers can take their phone number anywhere they move, even if it’s just for a weekend getaway.

Simply pack up your phone adapter, (power supply & cables) and your touch-tone phone. The system can be reconnected anywhere there is a broadband Internet connection, allowing you to make and receive calls as if you were still at home.

If you own a VoIP phone the system is even more portable, simply plug the phone into any broadband Internet connection typically found in most hotels. There’s no need for adaptors and cables.

Choose Your Phone Number
With VoIP, consumers are no longer tied to their local phone number. Many consumers take advantage of this feature when they have friends and family members who live in a different city or state.

Most VoIP providers also offer virtual numbers. A virtual number is an inexpensive secondary line that rings to the primary VoIP line. For example if you live in San Francisco where your primary VoIP phone number has a 415 area code you can order a virtual number for a family member in a different state with your same area code and thus avoid them incurring long distance fees when calling your phone number.

Cost savings, portability and frequent phone calls from relatives are just some of the reasons why you should consider the switch to VoIP. The technology is here to stay and there is no better time to adopt VoIP and start saving on your phone bills.

Small Businesses Can Enjoy The Benefits Of VoIP Technology

SMBs Need To Consider VoIP For Efficiency and Savings

Over the past ten years, the market for VoIP has been driven by a number of factors, chiefly the promise of inexpensive voice communication. As traditional phone service costs have gone up dramatically, without adding new features, any solution offered at lower rates is bound to create a huge demand.

Today, many small and medium sized businesses (SMB) are choosing VoIP to replace their current telephone system. VoIP is a term used to describe the transmission of telephone calls using the Internet (Voice over Internet protocol), rather than over traditional phone lines. It’s a rather simple concept, and one that is having a significant impact on the world of business communications.

The SMB market for VoIP is growing astronomically across the world. Businesses realize that VoIP is now a mature enough technology to deliver a high quality service, feature improvements and tremendous cost savings.

Low-Cost Broadband Changes the Telephony Game

As VoIP is less expensive to deploy, service providers can pass the savings on to its customers. Since no physical equipment other than a phone and a broadband phone adapter are needed onsite, features can be upgraded without additional charges in a seamless process. Prices have been kept at a minimum because VoIP has been less affected by regulations and taxes than the traditional telephone services.

The explosive adoption of broadband access is aiding the VoIP market growth. VoIP uses these high-speed connections as its transport rather than traditional and more expensive telephone lines. Since so many potential VoIP customers already have broadband connections and want features like voicemail to email notification, many see the logical choice is to leave behind traditional phone service for less expensive VoIP phone service. Also, now that portability of phone numbers is available, switching to a business VoIP phone system can be completely transparent to employees and customers.

VoIP Is the Future

As a result of VoIP’s potential cost savings and added features, consumers, small business, enterprises, traditional telecommunication service providers (telcos), and cable television providers are viewing it as the future of telecommunications. VoIP has experienced significant growth in recent years due several factors:

- Demand for lower cost phone service.
- Carriers drive to reduce costs while providing more features.
- Customers increased feature set without capital investments.
- More dispersed workplace driven by teleworkers and best of breed global hiring practices.
- Improved quality and reliability of broadband networks enabling.
- VoIP calls over standard broadband lines, as well as inexpensive increased bandwidth capacity.
- New product innovations that allow VoIP providers to offer services not currently offered by traditional telephone products.

The bottom line for today's small business is that VoIP can give a business of any size the same kinds of telephony features that multinational enterprises typically enjoy and at a significant savings.

VoIP Moves From The Office To The Home

Technology Has Many Benefits for Consumers.

AOL Latino

More Hispanics Compare-Shop Online
Orlando Business Journal - 11:48 AM EDT Monday

Hispanics in the Unites States are relying more on the Internet in making purchasing decisions, a new AOL Latino Hispanic Cyberstudy released Monday shows.

According to the study, 68 percent of Hispanics surveyed say the Internet is their best source for making final brand decisions -- a 17-point spike since 2004.

In addition, about three of every four Hispanics in the country use the Internet to learn about brand products, compared with 59 percent two years ago.

The Internet also is a popular tool for Hispanics who want to compare prices and learn about brand features or benefits, the study concludes.

Mark Lopez, publisher of AOL Latino, says the new data will help marketers better understand how to reach the rapidly growing online Hispanic market.

The study, undertaken by Synovate's Diversity Group, a market intelligence researcher, interviewed 502 participants in English or Spanish over the age of 18 who accessed the Internet in the past month.

According to the study, there are more than 16 million Hispanics online, or 55 percent of the total U.S. Hispanic population.

The Hispanic population in Central Florida is estimated to be more than 549,000, and Hispanic buying power in the Orlando area is expected to surpass $8 billion in 2006, according to a recent study by the Selig Center for Economic Growth at the University of Georgia.

The AOL Latino survey also shows that 81 percent of Hispanics online are mostly acculturated or partially acculturated, while only 19 percent is relatively unacculturated.

Acculturated Hispanics are defined as those who tend to be U.S. born or have lived in the United States for more than 20 years.

Partially acculturated Hispanics are defined as having lived in the United States several years, with 50 percent of being Spanish dominant and about one-third bilingual or English dominant. This continues to be the largest Hispanic segment.

The unacculturated Hispanics have lived the shortest amount of time in the United States and are 90 percent Spanish dominant.
